BlockCon 2017 in Santa Monica
LOS ANGELES'S BLOCK CHAIN CONVENTION
Updated 10/18/2017
Well this was a very enjoyable event. After attending I met some interesting folks, a dev from Guatemala working on organizing Blockchain meetups and pioneering clean water solutions, a VC fund dude that invited me to a good party, and a new company that hopes to help rehabilitate the Redwoods (Deep Ecology Project), I was happy I went!
It's fitting that a blockchain conference, which is pioneering a technology that will most likely function in every imaginable sector of society, e.g. financial, legal, commercial, entertainment, etc., would be at the Museum of Flying.
This weekend and this coming week events will be held surrounding the Blockchain technology and it looks pretty cool. Attendees will even be paid some Bitcoin. Among other attendees, Michael Kerklin of Shapeshift will be discussing cyber security issues.
One of the workshops that takes place today will be dealing exclusively with smart contracts.
Still a couple of days to register if interested visit there website here.
